Mike Garafolo of USA Today reports that Brees gave a speech to the Saints offense on Wednesday designed to send a message that it is time to stop making excuses and start playing better football. He also declined some of the interview requests that he regularly accepts in order to make it clear that the only focus on anyone’s mind in New Orleans should be getting better on the field.

“The message was you have to find a way for you to play better,” tackle Zach Strief said of Brees’ speech. “Don’t look outside of you, don’t point at another guy, don’t look for the answer anywhere but inside yourself.”

Good job for Brees but why isnt the coaching staff delivering motivational speeches???? kromer is a god damn joke. The team really does look like an extension of him on the field...mellow, soft, lack of urgency, boring, etc, etc...

Don't blame this on Kromer. He isn't the one going out there and blowing coverages and missing tackles.

What took so long Drew, how about you go talk to the defense as well. This is all well and good but this should fall on the coaches not the players. Kromer has shown he really isn't the guy that should of taken Vitt's place if Drew has to do the motivational speeches
