HAMMOND, La.--The Saints went in live game conditions for the first time as the first portion of training camp came to close with the Black & Gold Scrimmage in Strawberry Stadium.

QB Todd Bouman, who ran the first team offense in place of the injured Aaron Brooks, completed five passes for 44 yards with the first team and then worked eight plays with the second team.

Aaron Stecker, who was signed by the Saints as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason from Tampa Bay, got the bulk of the carries with the first team. He rushed seven times for 19 yards and also caught a pass from Bouman for 16 yards and a first down.
