My theory on Saints Receivers' woes

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm more upset about Moore. It's mindboggling. I surely thought he was the best hands in our division. Now I cringe when the ball goes toward him....

Re: My theory on Saints Receivers' woes

Think on this...

Last offseason, during the lockout, Brees and teammates scheduled, executed workouts in advance of other teams and with greater intensity, duration and the culmination was the greatest passing efforts in NFL history...

This offseason, Tom Condon through Drew Brees decided what is most important in this league is getting paid and for this, and among other reasons, we're sitting at 0-4...

capisce?!?

BS!

"They" are to blame for the balls "they" drop.
Than why even have a receivers coach to begin with? Players comtinue to improve their mental and physical skills even in the nfl, and a coach has a lot to do with that.

I agree that it's not CJ's fault that they are dropping balls - he can't catch for them. But i think he had a lot of influence on their performance.

I don't think people gave him as much credit as he deserves. From 2006-2011, he basically developed a group of no-name receivers into one of the top units in the NFL. I think the impact that he had is much more obvious now that he's gone. I wish him the best at Tulane, but I wish he was still with the Saints.
I posted the same thread a couple weeks ago. I think you are dead on.

Yes it is the receivers fault. Lance Moore let 2 hit his pads and bounce off.this is standard knowledge. I mean Ellard isn't telling them to catch balls like that. It's one lack of fear of Sp when they come off the field. I am sure Moore would be benched for a q or a half if this was Payton in there. Or 2 lack of focus and practice reps.

Everyone of these receivers were here last year, cannot blame Henry Ellard for any of this.
