Thats a lie didnt PT just rush for 112 for 10 carries against the panthers

Excuses! Chris has 11 games w/ 10+ carries and avg.over 4.0 yac in all except 1 on the other hand Mark has seven games w/ 10+ carries and avg 3.6 a carry in all except TWO! (NYG) (IND) and Ingram might get a couple passes here and there while Ivory is 100% run...sooo why does Ivory produce more than Ingram?

Because Ivory runs at the line like his hair is on fire

But he also gets hurt more easily and puts the ball on the ground more, so there's a give and take with both of them

The Steelers believe rookie RB Chris Rainey hasn't been effective so far because defenses know he's getting the ball on the rare snaps that he plays.

It's similar to the Saints' running-play "tell" with Mark Ingram. "There's a little alert that goes up," OC Todd Haley explained. "The key with him is that we have to get him into the flow of the offense at some point when everybody is comfortable. When he's making regular carries, maybe he won't be noticed as much." Rainey is averaging just 2.5 yards per carry and 6.8 per reception through three games.

Apples to Oranges

Ivory is a train, Ingram is a NASCAR, Thomas is a drifter, Sproles is... well a Sproles.

Ivory doesn't need a gap, I am surprised our OL doesn't have more spinal injuries when he runs. He reminds me of Predator with a helmet.

Ingram is being run like an Ivory and its a bad fit. He also doesnt have the patience yet, he tries to force it.

Thomas slides around what ever he comes across for the most part. Its a patient cut.

Sproles can cut on a dime and is not a tween the tackles runner. He accelerates like no one.

Watch Peterson run.. If Ivory would have the patience... He could match him.

Peterson runs a 4.4
Ivory a 4.42
Ingram 4.62
Shanle 4m2d11h

I question Ingrams vision and ability to make plays when the line fails. PT seems to have a better ability to make plays.

The difference like someone else pointed out is when PT is in they have to respect the screen pass, when Ingram is in 99% of the time it's a run up the gut and defenses know this.

The same can be said about Ivory when he's in. Defenses KNOW it's a run....

Where did you find these?

Ingram and Ivory both ran a low of 4.47 seconds at their proday.

I do like the Shanle rip though. Well played. :)

Classic!! And I think you're totally right- if he had half of Peterson's vision, Ivory would be a much scarier RB indeed, cause no doubt he's got the power and the speed
