Re: Seneca Wallace works out for the Saints.

You don't have a QB on your roster come in on their off day to work out 5 WR's.

Smart move, IMO.

Have a guy who has a fairly good arm & accuracy (i.e.: Seneca Wallace) come in and play throw & catch for the potential wideouts.

Also, it doesn't jeopardize your QB's health (or CBA restrictions with the NFLPA or Union).

Had we brought in Seneca Wallace by himself, you'd have to scratch your head in disbelief. But with all those other guys trying out at WR, that's a lot of passes to throw.

Good move by the Saints.

Thanks for giving some insight into this Stealth. I was starting to wonder and do some head rubbin.

As if Chase Daniel can't use the practice? And we have a PS QB as well, but we bring in Seneca? Interesting...

I totally get it about saving Drew's arm, but I don't understand why they wouldn't have Chase or McCown throwing the ball around to potential WRs

I agree.... We have plenty of back up to not bring in someone.

Re: Seneca Wallace works out for the Saints.

Well McCown is gone, Chase is signed to be here for THIS YEAR only. Only 2 QBs on the roster right now. Why not look at somebody else, while you look at all these receivers? Possibly a backup QB for next year if Chase leaves, or in case of a doomsday Black Sunday scenario where Drew gets clobbered and then Chase gets clobbered later in the same game. Plus if you dress for a game and play special teams (Chase holding kicks), I'm sure you still need a guaranteed day off somewhere in there during the week.

Plus, Chase is most likely already in there that same day with the defense, pretending to be Phillip Rivers, he's also studying and preparing for the Chargers himself in case God forbid he has to come in. If God forbid Drew ever goes down you will need somebody else new at QB on the roster, the next weekend, no matter what. This makes 100% perfect sense.
