Our new O-line
Anybody else anxious to see the new O-line? Its supposed to be a much better run-blocking interior than we had last year. I can just see Deuce getting a 3 or 4 yard head of stem between the tackles and some DB trying to lay the wood. It won't be pretty. We know Deuce can break it outside, and most of our run problems were 3rd and short against stacked lines. This unit has some big fat uglies in Jacox, Bentley, and Holland. The only downside I see is Holland isn't as good a pass blocker as we're used too. But I think we know where our bread is buttered. I think Deuce breaking thru the middle 4 or 5 times more per game is a much better tradeoff. I think we'll see more long runs from Deuce this season than ever before. |
