His actions or lack thereof are by the league’s own definition, “conduct detrimental”.

My track record on the issue of player health & safety speaks for itself. And clearly, as I just listed, the Commissioner's does too."

There was no reaction....

Der Kommisar action was probably to run the the league lawyers to see if he was protected by the CBA to drop more punishment on Fujita since he spoke ill of the replacement referees...

He lives in his own little world... just waiting foe the sky to fall in on him...

He was probably thinking that he hates dealing with players that are smarter than he is. It's so much easier to manipulate them when they don't think for themselves.

I put the whole Fujita statement up on my Facebook page, word-for-word (where I don't really post much Saints stuff) and it is BLOWING UP with comments from people all over the country and being shared and "liked" and re-posted...more casual football fans, or people with only passing knowledge of the bounty story, NEED to see this statement. It's strong.

I'm sitting here listening to Sports Hangover and they keep saying Goodell is basically punishing them for lying. I have a problem with that logic. First of all they clearly stated that they did what the coaches TOLD them to do when it came to NFL coming to ask questions. Secondly....how can you sit and try to be a moral authority on anything.

I think Goodell is taking one for the team. He is a puppet for the owners. There is another thread that lays it all out and it makes the most sense of anything I've seen. If someone advised the owners that there needed to be a sacrificial lamb to save them down the road, then why not have the team with the most loyal fans be the scapegoat.

The only thing I'm interested in right now is what Freech finds. He may dig up something below the surface. Somebody could break ranks with the NFL and expose what is really going on behind the scenes and I honestly believe this is a real scenario that could play out.

I wouldn't be suprised if Freeh's report actually shows the practice rampant within the league. Including suppressed information the league located during investigation of the Saints implicating other teams.

We already know the league basically stated they couldn't find information on the '07 Packers or information released in the press regarding former players stating it was common practice.

The league KNEW and they ignored it as long as the money flows in. They only changed their tune when they realized the player lawsuits could effect their wallets.
