Look guys. I remember it very well -- a 100% true rumor about a certain lad named Demarcus Ware being really messed up, injured, taken off the field on a cart...there was a lot of talk and hype about it, at the time, and then the other team the Cowboys were playing the next week, they figured hey, this guy went off on a cart, they game planned as if Ware wasn't going to be in the game, the next week, and then Ware came back and oh wait. What? I think he might have sacked somebody, not sure....

Now if Kromer says "uh....he has an ankle" with that same deadpan inflection that Payton says it with, when you know the person's ankle has already FALLEN OFF, then I will be A LITTLE worried. But until I hear somebody from the Saints coaching staff tell a bald-faced, ginormous lie about it, I don't believe anything I hear!

I also remember people freaking out about Shockey's foot or boot during the playoff run, in '09. Rumors of people seeing him on a plane to Birmingham to consult with Dr. James Andrews and stuff. People totally were freaking out. Tight ends get beat up a lot. It happens.

Interesting, but you'd figure if it was really something that you would see it reported on a mass scale.

It does sound a bit like internet gossip. It was 1st reported he sprained his ankle, which was then assumed to be a high ankle sprain which sometimes takes 3 to 6 weeks to fully heal, then assumed that Jimmy's gonna miss 6 games, which I'm sure will be assumed that he might need surgery and might be shut down until 2013, which may spread to he might never be the same again...:rolleyes:

Then again, he may be out 3-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.:p
