this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Our defense has only allowed 7 points in the second half for 3 straight games I know some of you may want to blame the D for nearly losing the game at the end but I don't think they were ...

Our defense has only allowed 7 points in the second half for 3 straight games
I know some of you may want to blame the D for nearly losing the game at the end but I don't think they were to blame, our offense did absolutely nothing in the second half 313 passing yards and 4 TD's in the first half 64 passing yards and 1 rushing TD in the second half Our offense could not convert 3rd downs and kept giving it back to Tampa bay, I'm happy our d didn't give up more points because our O didn't help them much at the end of the game We are climbing back up, atleast we got the W |

Defense got put in a hole early, tightened up quick. That one drive in the 4th quarter, with it seems like 20 penalties, had to gas them. I thought they played pretty well. Jenkins has to get a game ball, that's the type of play that can turn a season around (the TD saver).

I don't mind them allowing on 7 points in the second half, if they stop giving up 21 in the first.

He did make the catch, but come on, it should NOT even be that close, he's a pro. Through all the adversity, I thought the 3rd quarter with the goal line stand was one of the best quarters of football the D played all season, even with the tip ball run down the field. Lucky tip that turned to nothing. |
