After the first paragraph, I knew it was Scam Newton.

I agree with Danno. To borrow from Mr Nawrocki, a circus chimpanzee sitting on a bar stool could've figured that out.

As for Harper "infecting" the defense (too much condescending hyperbole, the mark of someone... never mind), I would say it is kind of hard to not "infect' the defense playing in the backfield when the opposing QB has all day to throw the ball.

Harper has been here for 7 years now. We weren't always so bad at getting pressure during that time, yet Harper has been consistently exposed as a horrible cover man. He can make a hit on a QB, but if you're going to play a SS at the line of scrimmage just to avoid exposing him, then either make him a LB or get rid of him. Anybody remember Sammy Knight? He was slow as molasses, but he was a major play-maker in the passing game and punished runners. Harper is actually more athletic than he was, yet can do nothing but bull rush.

I would love to see the posts where anyone predicted the Gm would get fired.

Yes... He has. Anyone can see that. But you're welcome to attempt an explanation next time.

Done it a million times. Try the search button.;)

If people can't see it after explaining it multiple times, they are either incapable of understanding or don't want to.

Oh, come on. Now you going to elevate this guy to Jeane Dixon status? :)

Just about everything he said about Newton, many others said as well. And I am pretty sure a number of people said that about the Panthers' GM, because every time someone picks a QB high in the draft, people always say someone's career, either coach of GM, is tied to the pick.

The funny thing is, Hurley didn't want Newton. That was a Richardson decision. Richardson is the quiet Jerry Jones.

Produce another scouting report on Newton as accurate. Talk is cheap and this cat put the dirty on the record.

Do it.. Just do it.

Come on, dude. This cat was probably talking out of his ass and just happened to hit the somewhat right phrase. Had he say "an owner is going to fall in love with Newton, demand he be drafted, and then this owner will fire the GM to appease the fans when the QB doesn't succeed on his second year", then I MAY CONSIDER giving credit to this cat clairvoyance.

Again, Jeane Dixon.
