Can the bandwagon fans **** off? please?

Yeah, we lost. We played really, really bad tonight. Oh well, Denver is a good team (despite a 3-3 record going into tonight, you half breeds).
It's just disgusting how people COMPLETELY flip flop over a loss and you see people calling Drew a ****ty qb and a poor leader. Not that I'm enthused about getting spanked in prime time, it just amazes me to see these idiots come out of the wood work.

No flip flopping here. I've said all season we had no defense and no fire. Tonight was simply an all time low in the Drew Brees era. And by that I don't mean it was his worst game, but it was easily the ugliest game I can remember seeing this team play since he got here.

Nobody could tackle and no one could catch. We made a very pedestrian team look like a juggernaut. And please don't tell me about their big comeback against the Chargers. SD lost 7-6 to the Browns today, AND they lost to us. I thought our win was impressive at the time, but I'm starting to understand how it happened, unfortunately.

i'm not trying to defend the performance tonight. just unacceptable effort, and venting is expected. it's just when you see fans posting an hour prior to kick off about how the 2012 saints are the be all end all of football are now throwing the team under the bus and demanding spat's resignation

Well I agree with you in terms of anyone who may be freaking out that bad. I personally haven't seen or heard anyone saying this team was great or anything like that. So to me the reaction seems pretty consistent, but I'm sure there are a few odd balls out there.

Good or bad (Bad right now), they are still our Saints.

Re: Can the bandwagon fans **** off? please?

I knew it would be ugly....and if we were going to drop another game...this was it. Technically we lost no ground in the NFC. Philly is beatable...our D just needs to make a couple of stops and KEEP HICKS IN THE GAME as much as possible against Philly. Drew RARELY has 2 bad performances in a row...so I expect him to be lights out at home on Monday night. And regardless how the rest of the season goes as far as the Wild Card race...remember our main goal as Saints...BEAT THE F***ING FALCONS AT ALL COST. They do that then I'm good.

Want us to arrange a spanking for you after hours? I mean, if that's your thing, we are always willing to help out a fellow fan...

LOL

Wait... actually I just looked at the schedule. Would Monday night be good for you?

Re: Can the bandwagon fans **** off? please?

Like I said in another thread - Drew and this offense must play near perfect ball for the Saints to overcome this crappy defense.

Throw in a pick or fumble, a few dropped passes, a bad play on special teams, etc and this team's goose is cooked.

110.4 = the minimum QB rating this year for the Saints to win a game.

PATHETIC

Especially frustrating when you see how bad Christian Ponder can play in Minnie and still get bailed out FTW. A couple of times this season so far

ugh, I just want a below average D, that's all.

I am nitpicking, and I apologize in advance, but the opening game of the 07 season against the Colts was worse in my opinion, but I agree with your sentiment.

Here we go again, another "get off the bandwagon" thread when things aren't looking so good. News flash, how someone reacts to a win or loss has nothing whatsoever to do with his or her fandom.

Good grief

Im a paying customer.
I pay for my seats, pay for the trip, concessions, parking, and merchandise, not to mention plan half my year around the Saints.

I'll b**ch as I see fit, starting with Drew Rockefeller. For 100 Million Dollars, you need to score on every drive, and yes, catch the ball for the receiver, after all you got his money too. I know thats harsh, and ridiculous, but $100M is ridiculous too. (you can disagree with me & thats ok) He should have came to practice this summer, and worried about money and statistics later. Its hard to defend him now to my haters at work, who dont bleed black and gold.

The defense is setting NFL records. 1st team in history to give up 400 yds in 7 consecutive games. Its time to clean house here. Who would do worse?

I've rooted for a lot of .500 or worse teams, who had big days and upset big
opponents, and played some damn good ball, but just couldnt get a break, or just didnt have the magic, or happened to be playing vs. Joe Montana. I have so many good memories of Saints past, and I'm glad for all the time I spent following them.

But this team is a mountain of potential, and a sh** pile of results. (I just invented that phrase myself.) So yes, I am mad. A team with this much
talent shouldnt look like this. We won last week on a technicality.

Im here. Im wearing my Saints stuff at work right now, getting laughed at, and I'll be in my seat for the Falcons game. And if we're losing 50-0 in the 4th Quarter, Im not leaving early. Im here to stay.

Hey Sabrina, its nice to see you around here. Thanks for coming here and crying in the beer with me. Ah, the fun of being US. hahaha...

Im totally ridiculous for two of my opinions, which I cant help but have, but I
know I am probably wrong:

1. my criticism of drew brees.
2. I hate replay & wish it would go away. (crazy, huh? yes, I know.)

I am completely wrong, I know, but I cant help myself.

Some people just handle a humiliating loss like last nights different than others. You need to take this post over to SR.com where it belongs. Had there been a option to thumbs down this thread I would have given it to you. We are all upset and some people vent more than others. We fans don't need to be hacking on each other over stuff like that.

I agree, everyone is going to take the loss differently. If some what to b**** more then others, then its ok. We are having a bad season, so its natural that a lot are going to complain, but just because someone is saying that we have bad team does not mean they are a bandwagon fan. Any true fan knows when to admit when his team is bad and when to admit when they are good. Also to the OP, calling people idiots on here is not going to make you any friends. You can always go to SR if you don't like it here, but I warn you, its not pretty over there.

Denver game planned well for the Saint's offense, didn't have to game plan much for the defense. Everyone getting a little testy, whomever had any criticism for the offense or Drew Brees is just dead wrong.

I'm with ya up to the point where we need to clean house.

That move should be reserved for franchises that need to rebuild.

This team has a top 3 NFL head coach and QB and staff. There's no reason we couldn't rebound with a few KEY additions on O and D.

Just think if we had an upgrade at DT, OLB and CB. Our defense could be top 12.

And if we upgraded RT and LT - Brees has all day to feast!

Look this season has given me a roller coaster of emotion but right now I'm feeling optimistic about NEXT YEAR. ;)

I'm with you here. We've won 37 games in the last 3 years. What's the difference this year?

Could it be that instead of having one of the best coaches in the league we've had a guy who has never been a HC in his life instead?

What part of that are people not understanding?

For clarification, I would clean house on DEFENSE. Maybe not Spagnola, and I like Jabari and a couple others...

Re: Can the bandwagon fans **** off? please?

Sean Payton is a great coach, and we clearly miss his leadership, but for those who would rather make excuses for this team than to look at reality, consider this:

After Bill Cowher won the Super Bowl with the Steelers and retired, they brought in a guy who I dare say probably none of us had a clue who he was, in Mike Tomlin. He hasn't missed a beat, and has won a Super Bowl of his own, and almost had another.

And after Tony Dungy retired from the Colts, they promoted Jim Caldwell, another no name, to head coach. He promptly takes them to the Super Bowl where our Saints beat him, of course. But last year Peyton Manning couldn't play, and so the Colts went in the tank and Caldwell was fired.

The moral of this post is that while it's nice to have your head coach, if the players are good enough they should be able to continue doing what they do best, regardless of who is coaching them. I would absolutely love to have Sean back, but we still have all our players, and unlike the Colts last year we still have our QB. Yet our offense isn't playing close to the level it was last year, and the defense is non existent despite the fact it actually gained a couple of pieces in the offseason. The play calling could surely be better, but these guys are playing awful. Also, I'm tired of reading posts saying things like "you're crazy if you blame the offense"... They deserve every bit as much blame.

We understand that fully. However it is such a pitty to see all of that go to crap because 1 person is out for a season... Life happens...

Ill put it in business terms. I would be doing my employees and customers a grave disservice if I didn't build some redundancy into my company. If for some reason something happened to me or I had to step away too many people depend on this company to not have someone that can step in with some sort of quality.

You hit the nail on the head... Maybe Spags should have been interim since he has HC experience... Maybe we need a second or third staff member that has HC abilities.
