Re: Listen to Bobby H. read off some statics

I'm a Bobby fan. Love the way he played. Bobby was all heart, all guts, and if anything, he wanted it too much, and would try to do too much himself. At the time we had him, he was the best QB we'd had since Archie.

I stayed up way past bed time last night, because after all the blah blah blah interviews, I wanted to hear Bobby. I wanted to hear somebody who would do everything short of cuss on the radio, (sometimes not short) and is just as frustrated as we are, and would VOICE that frustration as only a CAJUN can do. Sometimes, I just need to hear a Cajun cuss to make me feel better. That is all.

There's so much chaos top to bottom amongst the organization right now it's insane. I think the problem is a mix between lack of a head coach and the players not trying like they should, but lets just say the problems with our defense have been around for a while.

I liked Bobby and I agree with SkyMike that he was the best we'd had at the time. I like the gun slinger mentality and Hebert had it. He was a bright spot at the time. And as an announcer he's growing on me because he tells it like it is.

I was a massive Bobby Hebert fan. He was the first Saints QB who gave us a prayer. He didn't take us there, but he was a home boy who gave it all he had.

I'll listen to what he says and take it for what it could be worth.

Play da man!

I like Bobby, I just wish he'd let people finish a thought on the radio. "No, no, no..."

Remember how he was a serial spitter?! He would spit three times per camera shot. Damn.

Re: Listen to Bobby H. read off some statics

Did Bobby bother to read the following statistics on air?

Life Time Comp% 58.9
TD 135 Int 125
Life Time QB rating 78
Played in 120 games with 125 INT and 50 FUM (1.45 turn over rate per game)

I am not a big fan of yahoos who were no better than average critiquing active players as if they were great by any stretch of the imagination.

If Payton were around, we'd be getting it done w the players we have. But remember, he wasnt involved in pitting together te final roster this year. He has a way of knowing which olayers to keep so that he can get the most out of them. He and Loomis have built this team by finding nuggets in the later rounds and by adding key FA's to the roster. Not much success w early round draft picks though. We all know this. Payton doesnt care what round the player comes from - as long as they're hungry, have a good work ethic, and can fit intot he system.

Love me some Cajun Cannon. Wore his jersey to the games until it fell apart. He gets fired up on the radio with his passion for the Saints. He played for the Falcons and still has hate for them, lol. He calls the guys out and just says what we are all thinking anyway. Back in his day, he was the best thing we had had in a while and being a local boy was even better.
