Question for the Monday night game.

Ok as we all know Philly has put up piss pore offensive points this season. If or when, They come into the dome; if Vick has his best game of the season and it Philly puts up 30+ points and were not pressuring him were not stopping his run threat or his passing or anything else. Do y'all think in prime time the super dome crowd will say enough is enough and start booing the defense??? Quite frankly were all tired of a piss pore performance. I remember in the 2007 season Jason David was booed at home. Does our defense get booed Monday night??? Me personally IMO if they still suck as bad as they have been I think they get booed. And I think they deserve to get booed.

I think if you are going to boo your team you should sell your tickets and watch the game from home.

Lesean McCoy is going to absolutely rape our defense

Vick will have his best game in the last two years

At this point it depends what our offense looks like that goes towards If we win the game

After 7 games, we know what our defense is going to be like

There's something called being admiral in defeat, that's when you never give up and play hard for 4 quarters

If I bought tickets and saw our guys give up after 30 mins like they did vs the broncos, I'd boo too

This is going to get a bit ugly, both Reid and Vick are on the hot seat.
The only advantage we have going is that we are at the Dome but we are grasping at straws.

The Saints have made every QB they faced this season look like a Super Star. Why stop at Mike Vick? Hell if Vick doesn't put up amazing record breaking numbers against our pathetic defense, it only be because they are averaging 10 yards per carry on the ground.

I don't think we should boo them. We aren't Philly fans.

That said, if we show the lackadaisical lack of effort we displayed for most of the Denver game, I could see a few BOOOS! slipping through. That was just maddening.

I really hope we pull this one out. I don't want to be the team that got Vick back on track. I want to be the team who got him benched.

A Skins fan asked me when we are ordering the paper bags. I can see a vocal crowd trying to inspire or shame some of the players but I hope we don't go back over the line and revert back to bags.

Any true Saints fan knows we go through good and bad times (more bad than good before the last 6 yrs). You are either a Saint fan or not.
The team knows the defense sucks. The coaches know the defense sucks. We all know they suck. They don't need us to boo to get that point across.
PLEASE sell your tickets.

I agree 100% I'm from Shreveport do I don't get the chance to go to many saints games. That and the fact I work Sunday nights through Thursday nights. I just remember saints fans getting so fed up with Jason David we booed him till he wasn't on the team anymore.

I agree with everything but the last line. We need to plan to score on every possession because we can expect anyone we play will likely do that to us. And for god sake start running the ball more.

This is just me but I don't boo anybody, much less my own team. Now, I may yell no at the top of my lungs but I am certainly not going to boo my beloved Saints. :bng:
If you want to boo them sell your tickets, pick a winner like Atlanta and go watch them play.
JMHO

Alcohol may be a factor. Also the LSU Bama game that weekend may put some people in a bad mood, if that doesn't go well. I think win or lose it's going to be a rather... surly event. And highly inebriated.

But if you're angry at the Saints defense, disappointed, and wanting to see a huge chorus of Boo Birds to come reigning down the minute the defense runs out the tunnel, because you're pissed off retroactively about a road game the week before, well it's probably not gonna happen like that. Unlikely.

I don't boo. I don't blame those who do - especially when the product on the field is crap.

Couldn't have said it better. You paid your money for the tickets and that gives you the right to boo if you so please.

You can bet your paycheck, if the defense sucks it up as bad as last week, the boo's are coming. I can't say I would blame them one bit.

Like the man said, they know they suck, we know they suck so if you don't want to cheer, just be very quiet, you know, like in a morgue. That would speak louder than any boos.

Re: Question for the Monday night game.

Actually since the discussion has started to shift to fan alternatives to booing, I happen to think that the "Bull****! Bull****! Bull****!" repeating chant is awesome and very effective. If it gets loud enough to get out over the TV, believe me, people in high places start freaking out.

So that might be an idea for all the disgruntled and disgusted fans -- if the fans really want to boo something or somebody, they could get a chant going against the refs, on bad calls. There was one going on in the terrace after the phantom PI call in the Redskins game that very nearly gained critical mass.

Yeah yeah, I hear what you're going to say next -- I know there are kids at the games, but we were actually yelling "Bull Jit! Bull Jit!" in our section and kids were smiling.

But that's just me: I've kinda had it up to here with the whole "New Orleans fans are so friendly and awesome and hospitable" thing; I know we are, but I'm still angry about Bountygate, and I want the NFL and the networks and everybody corporate, everybody OUT THERE, THOSE PEOPLE who don't like us already -- I want them to hate us and be disgusted by us, to think we're just horrible people in Louisiana, and that the Saints and their fans are a rotten bunch.

Why not? They are already revolted that we are standing behind Payton and Vilma, they are HORRIFIED that we refused to roll over, accept their story without evidence and take their penalties like good little boys and girls. People out there ALREADY think we're insane. They wanted us to reject our team, embrace their smears, and side with their accusations, and we didn't do that. They all watch stuff like Duck Dynasty and Billy The Exterminator on TV ,and they think THAT'S REALLY US, that's all of Louisiana, anyway. So I figure we might as well give them what they want, give them something to talk about.

I'd like to suggest the following:

===========================
eff you RAH-GER

eff you!

clap! clap!
===========================

Repeat as necessary.

Re: Question for the Monday night game.

I guess I can't argue with the 'you-paid-your-ticket-you-should-be-able-to-boo' opinion, but IDK, on a personal level, I can't agree with boo-ing the team ... don't cheer, but if you're so ticked off at the team you gotta' boo, stay home. As a fan, the only real voice you have anyway is your wallet, hit'em where it hurts ... don't buy the tickets, don't go to the games or buy the merchandise if they're so bad you gotta' boo.

I'll sit in my living room and watch my teams when they suck, but I'll be damned if I'm shelling out good money for a crappy product, eh?

To each his own, I guess..
