Other than that its the same old song and dance but this time it was with a crappy QB in Bowman. I didn\'t see the playoff team or that 10-6 team that I\'ve been reading about on this board. They are overhyped and looked just like another 8-8 team.

Very Disappointed the defense is still bad. 3 YEARS NOW ITS BEEN BAD. Coaching Change anyone?
gator - Nobody is writing them off or jumping the gun? What the heck are you talking about, dude? Read the quote above that you made and tell me that\'s not what you did?!

Seriosly man, it\'s pretty clear you have an agenda. But, that\'s cool with me. Just expect to get called on stuff like that. When you turd coat everything, some folks might just disagree with ya.

Ask anyone, they will tell you that you turd coat just about everything. :P

Now tell me how I could have misinterpeted what you said?

IF we judge the Saints by the ONE preseason game we saw, then it ain\'t looking so good. But that would be silly.

What can be learned in ONE preseason game? Nothing really. And I didn\'t expect to learn a whole lot.

Sounds EXACTLY LIKE WHAT YOU SAID LAST YEAR. Again this year, the matter is simple. You base your predictions on 3 things.

1. The talent that you believe the Saints to have, but for the most part has never materialized.
2. Hype out of Saints camp.
3. Your own hopes for the team.

Now, I think that the team SHOULD be better this year, but the first teams did NOT look sharp in game one. Seemed liek much hasn\'t changed since last year. Hopefully that was a fluke, but another game or two like the Jets game and you\'ll be hearing me back in the chorus with Gator saying 8-8. Right now I\'m just giving them time, b/c I\'m smart enough to know that I don\'t know yet....

Yeah, I said not to judge the Saints off one preseason game last year. That hasn\'t changed this year either. Preseason is still preseason and the Saints might go on to suck this year too. But, it won\'t be because they look bad in preseason!

I don\'t think the Saints are going to do anything this year. They could be a 7-9 team or an 11-5 team. I have NO idea. NONE!! No hype for me. No sir!! I do have high hopes though.

One of the most intelligent things I\'ve heard coming from your side of camp and I agree completely.

gatorman --

No offense intended. But when you tell me I sugarcoat eveything, you shouldn\'t be so sensetive when I tell you that you \"turd\" coat everything. Turd coat means you make everything sound worse than what it is. And im my opinion, that\'s what you do.

You are certainly entitled to see things the way you see them. And I hope I am entitled to disagree with you. But, there was honestly no offense intended.

I think a lot of you go to extremes. This 1st preseason game is a perfect example.

Maybe you aren\'t writing them off. I certainly hope not. But that\'s the way I took it and I showed you why I took it that way. But, then again, you like to vent on this board after the game. So, maybe that\'s what you were doing?

Again, no offense intended. I\'m not trying to shut anyone\'s opinion down. But I do disagree with a lot of you.

We\'ll see how the Saints do throughout the preseason. Even if they do well, I won\'t be saying they will look great in the regular season. They\'ve got to prove themselves to me.

Peace!!

The key mismatch , will not be wearing a helmet . Rhodes vs. McCarthy gives the Seahawks an unfair advantage in this one , it was ugly last year and it is going to get uglier now . The Walrus is gonna B slap Haslett defensive style ...........
I agree. McCarthy\'s play calling still seems telegraphed. There are just too many times when he does exactly what the other team should expect.

gator,

Man, I like you. I really do. I really don\'t take things to heart that you say. Oh, I get a little worked up from time to time, but that\'s part of it.

I like our spirited debates. I like hearing the other side. I don\'t want everyone agreeing with my and I\'m pretty sure you feel the same way. There\'s always two sides to everythiing. Right?

I just don\'t want to be stirring up too much trouble on here.

Peace, Gator...I\'m out.

Hey Gumbo, don\'t worry it\'s not called trouble, it\'s called debating and you guys obviously are very passionate about your opinion.

Like to see it, would not have it any other way. The both of your observations are what keep this board interesting and oh yes PASSIONATE.

Keep up the spirit guys, because tomorrow never dies it only comes.
