Excuse me if this sounds too conspiracy theory.!

If the Saints get on a roll and a wildcard berth is possible, would Goodell lift Payton's suspension in an effort to disrupt the chemistry the Saints have developed with Vitt?

I know that Goodell wouldn't want to risk giving the Saints an emotional lift by doing this, but we have a few days until time to pluck another bird, so why not!!

I wouldn't delete your "theory". Everyone is entitled - Lord knows I rant here myself (especially this season)

I just don't see how getting Payton back would do anything other than HELP this team.

I was thinking along the lines of, ...if it aint broke, don't fix it!

Players get used to Vitt's play-calling, vibe, etc and if that gets changed/disrupted, you never know how players will respond.

Goodell is't going to lift Payton's suspension, so it's not really even worth the effort!

We'll it's clearly been broke the entire season and I think we all agree the ONLY person who could fix it (besides a handfull of FA's) is Sean Payton.

Did I mention that i HATE Roger Goodell?
