Denver has released Willie Jackson! I know Willie wasn't exactly the kinda guy that makes ya drool, but I sure hated to see him go. Rekon where he'll land?

Being that he runs a 5.2 second forty now its obvious.

You know, I never understood why we got rid of Willie. Sure he wasn\'t the fastest guy around, but neither was Eric Martin. More importantly, he was consistent and pretty darn good in NO. In fact, in Joe Horn\'s first year here, Jackson had better YAC numbers than did Horn. Willie was a MAJOR reason why this franchise ever won its first playoff game. He followed that up with a 2001 campaign that netted him a 1,000 yard receiving year, making him and Horn the first WR duo to do that in Black and Gold (I think... or at least first in a LONG time). After that season we simply dropped him. Why? I don\'t get it.

Didn\'t he want a major pay raise? I seem to remember he wanted at or near #1 WR money. Honestly, I can\'t remember for sure, but that\'s the impression I\'m left with.
