Are we facing Colin Kaepernick Sunday?

So, will Harbaugh hand the ball once again to Kaepernick at the Superdome on Sunday, and perhaps beyond? "We'll see," the coach said. "I usually tend to go with the guy who's got the hot hand, and we've got two quarterbacks that have got a hot hand."

Interesting development. Kaepernick does indeed have the hot hand. Saints will need to prepare for both QBs. If I had t guess though I'd say Smith. It's too late in the season to start messing with a formula that was working.

Who cares about their QB. Did you notice what they did to Campbell! We now have a patchwork O-line, Saints better come up with some schemes to block for Brees or it's going to be a long day in the Superdome.

Brees is one of the best protected QB's...
I don't see that changing in this game. More important things to worry about

Re: Are we facing Colin Kaepernick Sunday?

Brees was one of the best protected QBs in the league at 3:05 pm on last Sunday.. We lost an o-line man, that has the potential to change everything.

With Brown out (knee) relief for Bushrod will be costly. Strief is out (groin), leaving Bryce Harris...

He had help with a TE, Harris did... but it was a quickie adjustment during the game. Perhaps with a game plan in place we'll see some progress. Still, Brees' quick release is second to none, which makes an OLine look better.

OTOH, Kaepernick looked decent. He may be more trouble and Smith. He is a rookie, however.

Which means we have little tape on tendencies etc... An unkown is a lot more difficult to deal with an a known.

True..... but there is game tape now unlike what we had to deal with in RG3.

In an odd sort of way I want Alex Smith...
I want vendication... I want him to have a bad day... I want us to be the reason they MUST go with the rookie next week.

Re: Are we facing Colin Kaepernick Sunday?

I could careless who we see under center, as long as we win...

Both QB's have looked decent this season, and if I had to choose I'd go with Kaepernick just because he has less experience...

And if we don't contain that D-Line, it won't matter too much anyway
D_it_up and reggiedude like this.
