49ers vs Saints

What is your biggest concern and please let us know why.

I am not worried about their offense, we handled manning ok. Their defense is what keeps me up at night.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

Even with all the improvements the defense has made lately, they will have their hands full Sunday.

If the offense has another bad game like in Denver, it will be a long day!

Re: 49ers vs Saints

The offense will put up point in the Dome.. No worries there.
The defense gives up tons of yards and I think a good team will be able to punch it in the red zone if given enough tries.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

RT has me worried. We can address it, but then the passing game isn't as wide open.

westbankdaze 11-20-2012 01:57 PM

I'm worried about RT the most too. Their defense is monstrous.

Second thing I am worried about is frank gore. He's gonna get us on the ground.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

My ONLY concern is that after some of those hits/sacks in the Raiders game, the cameras showed Drew rotating his arm/shoulder on the sidelines, spinning it around. Ugh. My worry is that he only has a certain finite number of hits like that "left" in him, before something bad happens. That 49ers defense is just dirty enough, I could see them putting a cheap shot on the shoulder, just to try and knock him out.

Frankly I'm concerned about our D against their O and vise versa. I mean, I'm sleeping like a baby, but that's the drugs...

our defense against their offense of course...

I'm with Mitch our D against their O, I know how bad our D can be . Spags. better pull out all his mojo this time. We can put up points on their D, I've seen this!!

Re: 49ers vs Saints

Our Defense. I know they are capable of stopping the run when they put there mind to it but it's the missed tackles that I worry about. Gore is no joke and can break tackles with ease. We start ankle diving and it's going to be a long day.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

The only reason i am not worried about our defense against their offense is because... well.... quite frankly i do not have high hopes for our defense and do not expect them to stop anyone... just slow them a little. Even if our defense holds them to 14 if our offense cant overcome that defense we lose.

(gasp) if Drews streak ends.....

No Alex Smith. No magic comeback TD in the last min like last yr. Whoop de do he threw 2 tds against the bears. You should have seen that bears defense. Those idiots look scared to tackle.

Coverage on Vernon Davis

Re: 49ers vs Saints

right tackle. This will be a test, not only for the backup we put in Zach Strief's spot, but also for the coaching staff. This might be Kromer's time to shine at
what he does best.

If we can hold up at RT, the O just might put the 9'ers in their place. I look
for Pierre Thomas to lower the shoulder on a certain defensive back. I want us to hammer them with a steady dose of Ingram/Ivory/PT and slug some 49er
defenders in the mouth. Put the Earl Campbell on them.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

Coming off MN, short week, holiday, limited prep, travel time, QB controversy...that's a lot of adversity to overcome. If we get the RT some help and don't play their game of easy turnovers I think we roll on them. Have to be smart on YAC and special teams. That's how they got us last time, stupid turnovers.

Re: 49ers vs Saints

Honestly, I am more worried about our defense giving up more points than our offense puts up.
Although I am very concerned about RT.:brood:

Re: 49ers vs Saints

I'm worried about the O line and Brees. But other than that I think we play our balls off cause this team is playing with a ton of confidence now. Football is however about 60% mental. And our mentality is through the roof right now! We got this game!!! Hometown Super Bowl!!

Re: 49ers vs Saints

I am not very worried at all ... This team took from us the finest Saints Team I ever saw ... They paraded about the streets and Trolled for an entire year then when bountygate exploded the entire NFL trolled us without any proof to date ( Weird ) ...

Ironically after San Fran is when everything fell apart for us , So just fittingly we are 5-5 facing them with the tide turning in our Own home and have the chance to not only right our wrong and definately get back into a major playoff contender , but put a stamp and seal a message to the rest of the NFL that we are not going away and they have not destroyed us but created a angry determined team

In all honesty if we make either QB second guess just a tad bit , we will be up by 21 before you know it.

This is the game I am most pumped up for , and I'm sure Ingram , PT especially have an Itch for this team ...

Oh and we have the ultimate Motivator in Joe Vitt Shooting our players up with Gamma Rays for this game. This is that game where you take your fist and make your opponents chin touch his shoulder with ...

Re: 49ers vs Saints

Good question. I'd say our defense vs thier offense

SaintnDE 11-21-2012 06:05 AM

Re: 49ers vs Saints

I'd almost give this one a double vote.

A. worried about our RT position? Who is that dude they brought in? Never heard of him.

B. our defense giving up more points than we can over come do to A.

Not terribly worried, but those would be my two concerns, as they affect each other hand-in-hand. If the RT holds up, it cancels the worry about B.

I do think we'll have the "we have a score to settle, you lucky f**ks" chip, so that should give us the over all edge in this one.

Hope you guys are loud and nutty in the dome...wish I could be there for this one!

lee909 11-21-2012 06:25 AM

Hardest game of the season for me.
Not having met a 49er fan in my life(lucky me) I don't have the same hate for them as some.
I want revenge after last season though, if we would have won I believe the season would have ended with a second championship.

The 49ers have the weapons that can hurt both the offence and defence.

If the D can stand up in the red zone again and the offence produced like it has been in both the run and pass it should be a great game.

I finish work in just over 5 hours for 5 days and have the days planned.
Got the soccer on tonight,Hitman game tomorrow day and NFL. Thurs, college sat,soccer/NFL Saturday.
Bourbon stocked up

I love the weekend
Can't wait.
