Are you aware of how fast Drew Brees' release time typically is? He doesn't run around in the backfield like a headless chicken for five seconds per play, the way Smith does. Doesn't need to wait a long time for a receiver like Graham or Colston to get "open," either. It's not an "old school" offense like the Niners run, it's very fast. Just keep that in mind. It's not an optimal situation, to have this injury at that position, but the starter OT who is injured right now, Strief, was originally a backup who stepped in during the year we won the Super Bowl. The whole Super Bowl run in '09 was with a backup tackle in that same spot, all the way into February. So it sorta has worked out for us before.

He has a choice...

...he can be a b**ch, or...

...he can be a Daddy...

I suggest he listen to some of Shady's Lose Yourself and get pumped for a life changing opportunity...

...and bust some 9ers in the mouth adding another shade of red to their jerseys...

A star born? Or a liability exposed?

That knocking he's heard all week is Mister Opportunity.
