One play can change a season

We've seen it before.

Meachem's strip of a Redskins DB for a TD in 2009.

We thought we saw it with Jenkins' rundown of Vincent Jackson.

They all seemed to be season changers in our favor...

But today I believe that I saw the season-changer that will keep us out of the playoffs.

Consider this:

With less than 1 minute left in the 1st half, the ball, and a 14-7 lead, Drew Brees more than likely threw the Saints season away with the Brooks pick 6.

Until that point the Saints had the lead, the momentum, and ALL of the teams that were ahead of them for the #6 seed had LOST.

We had control of our destiny in our hands and threw it away to the worst of all enemies - the team that tortured Saints fans for decades and ended our season last year.

Maybe by Wednesday I can find my black and gold framed, rose tinted sunglasses, but today's loss ends any chance we have of making the playoffs in my mind...

Agreed

Was a dumb throw that killed our momentum, people say second one wasn't brees fault? He almost landed colston on IR

De'ja' vu kind of thing. I hear you.

All in all, disappointed yeah.

10pt. lost. A L is a L is a L. Still, 10 pts. is not like they blew the Saints out, shut them down.
W is a W.

SF49's, AtlFalcons, still, their year is not over. Playoffs for them will be rough as it will be for all the teams there.

Saints, 8-8, 9-7 , would be great for this year considering.
Yeah, I am being childish:lightsabre:, nasty:censored: ,angry:brood:
Things happen. Saints lost this one.

On to Thursday.

If I had a choice. I would prefer a lost today and a win against Atlanta, just because. I am :lightsabre::censored::dunce:

And I still fear:( for Colston. He really landed hard there.
I bet they are going to check him out more throughly.

IF I knew we were not going to win but one of the last 6, I would want it to be against SF.

I hope whoever they catch in the playoffs beats the living @#%#&^$ out of them...

The 49ers came in to TORTURE us. Win or Lose, they came to torture us.

They did.

We're tortured.
We LOST.

They could've tortured us in a win, but NO, we gave this one away free and clear, with TORTURE.

We OWN the Falcons. The 49ers OWN US. As do the Packers.

Simple, really.

I've said before the 2 picks are what killed us. O-Line didn't help either

and to think, if devery had been able to keep that second foot in bounds we woulda been in field goal range before half instead

That was a horrible horrible throw. I don't know why but Brees seems to make a certain number of those every year.
