Don't count the Saints out. Here's why...
* Cardinals beat the Seahawks in the season-opener... they are NOT scared of Seattle.
* Cardinals have lost EIGHT STRAIGHT... which means that they are waaaaaaaaaaaaay over due for a "W." They started the year 4-0, if you can believe it. * Seattle just won a hard-fought, emotional win vs. the Bears. Now, there's a question on whether or not their starting corners will be available. With a resurgent Cards' running game, stout defense, and Larry Fitz at wideout... anything's possible. * Seahawks also have to play the 49'ers and Rams again. Saints would own the tiebreaker with a better record in the NFC if both teams end up 9-7. * We need the 'Skins to lose on MNF, as well as one more loss * Rams need to lose one more (but hopefully, beat the Seahawks) * Vikings have the Bears, Packers, Texans to look forward to. * We play Tampa & Dallas head-to-head It ain't over, folks. |

If we win out, we would have a 7-5 conference record.
If SEA goes 9-7 and they lose to Arizona, they will still finish with a conference record of 7-5. Theyre remaining schedule is Ari, @ Buf, SF, St Louis. That tiebreaker goes to head to head matchup with a minimum of 4, best win %. I beleive we lose this battle. I dont think we can tie with Seattle and get in. Feel free to clarify if I am mistaken. |

according to the ESPN playoff machine (TM>R>OWNYOURASS)
if the saints win out and the seahags lose 2 against NFC teams, all other teams lose out appropriately, we would take the last spot. A loss to the Bills, while helpful, doesn't hurt them if we both finish 9-7. Oddsmakers don't like us at this point. |
