Absolutely right. It's a money thing. Ivory surely makes the least, so he's the odd man out. This RB thing wears me out. Play the talent, not the $$$. If the three backs (Thomas, Ivory, Ingram) were all about the same talent-wise, I wouldn't have an issue with this RB by commitee, but Ivory always shows more ability than Ingram (and Thomas) IMO. Sproles is a different type back so he's not in this conversation. BTW, I'm new here, but have been a Saints fan since Gilliam returned the opening kickoff.

I don't get it. Why would they lie about him having a hamstring pull?

Supposedly happened on Friday practice...?

He practiced all week.. full speed, pads, full practice. He was not on Fridays injury report. Then all of a sudden on Saturday?

Friday practices are less than 1/2 speed (walk throughs) in only helmets.

This man can drag an entire defensive line 4 yards but the weight of a helmet causes him to pull a hammy?

Possible.. I suppose. Plausible? hummm

Would love to see the travel to NY roster to see who replaced his spot.

He will most likely be released or tried to be used as trade bait, teams know what he can do when he's healthy

I think PT, Ingram and sproles can and have handled the load, Ingram is improving and was having a nice game vs giants

Still doesn't explain why you think its a farce.

They could deactivate him without mentioning anything at all about an injury. They have nothing to gain from saying its a hammy and everything to lose if they're lying and Ivory speaks up.

I have no trouble buying that a player who has been constantly injured in high school, college and the pro's is hurt yet again.

Can someone explain the benefit of some kind of 'ruse' regarding Ivory?

Like we're gonna sneak him onto the field or something, maybe fool them and get a few extra yards on one play before they realize he's in the game?

The guy has a history of injuries. Now he gets injured again and people are surprised/crying 'conspiracy theory?'

All that aside, don't both teams get a copy of the game-day active roster/injury reports of the other team anyway?

Today's injury report Wednesday 12-12-2012:

DNP:

C. Brown (knee), C. Ivory (hamstring), Corey White ( knee) , Z. Strief (ankle) , M. Jenkins (hamstring) , J. Collins (toe)

The conspiracy continues, or maybe the guy is simply a walking injury.

Sorry, I'm overly logical. I may be a distant descendant of Spock, on my mothers side.
