this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm just curious to see who will run this defense and what personnel changes will be made. To be continued......

NT RUSH LB S, I hope we can trade down in a deep Defensive draft. Just how far and with who is the question. Trading into the 20s and picking up a 2nd rd pick would serve us well. Losing that #2 really Sucks. Thanks Commish.

We aren't getting a compensatory pick. We gained more free-agents than we lost, money wise.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board

now here is a thought. the saints are bluffing and throwing a curve ball at all the other nfl teams before the draft.

i would lmao and sign the front office praise song

yes i would video tape my happy dance and post it.

ok back to the 34

who would trade up?

who wants to leap frog the rams?

additional pick candidates

Traded Round 1 Picks:
St Louis gets Washington 1st round pick (Robert Griffin)

Traded Round 2 Picks:
Miami gets Indianapolis 2nd round pick (Vontae Davis)
Cincinnati gets Oakland 2nd round pick (Carson Palmer)

Traded Round 3 Picks:
San Francisco gets Carolina 3rd round pick (Frank Alexander)
Miami gets Chicago 3rd round pick (Brandon Marshall)

Traded Round 4 Picks:
Minnesota gets Detroit 4th round pick (Tahir Whitehead and 2012 picks)
Tampa Bay gets New England 4th round pick (Aqib Talib)

Bengals have the cap space, the picks and feel they are ready for the push into the play offs

I go with the Bengals
21(800)
37 (530)
50 (400)
rd 3 83 (175)

rd1 15 (1050)
rd 3 77 (205)

I can see a deal were the Saints get
21(800)
50 (400)

the bengals get

rd1 15 (1050) - ILB or DE
Manti Te'o is my pick

saints now have the 21st pick

and the 50th in the second round

If not my next selection for trading partners is the bears or dallas but lets keep in the AFC please
jeanpierre and FinSaint like this.

If Ivory is a restricted free agent, is assigned a value (say a fourth round contract) and another team meets/exceeds it, we should get the value pick regardless of other free agents...

I may have been wrong to use the compensatory language, but we gain the restricted free agent pick...

Are teams likely to take ivory with a 4th.
I would have thought there is better value elsewhere.

Oh, I see what you did there now. My mistake. That may be a good tactic to swap out some of the "mis-fits" in our system.

Low ball the RFA tender in hopes of getting at least something for them. I hate to let decent players go for nothing.

We might have a player that doesn't fit our new 3-4, but is a decent player. We tender him low and at least get a late round pick out of it.

What are the new RFA tender levels and compensation?
