Re: Tagliabue vactes all discipline

In his ruling, Tagliabue wrote: "Unlike Saints' broad organizational misconduct, player appeals involve sharply focused issues of alleged individual player misconduct in several different aspects...My affirmation of Commissioner Goodell's findings could certainly justify the issuance of fines. However, this entire case has been contaminated by the coaches and others in the Saints' organization."

All that statement appears to be is a way to cover the leagues backside - and keep the coaches and organizational fines/punishments in place.

Contamination? What the hell does that mean?

You're guilty as charged, but we're letting you out of prison because the ultimate legal standard would find you innocent.

We are letting you off because that is the ONLY way Goodell and the NFL do not lose in Louisiana Court on defamation and slander.

So now they are placing full blame on the coaches and organization? Sounds like the NFL threw Gregg Williams under the bus? Wonder what this means for Williams and Paytons reinstatement at the end of the year?

FK Greg Williams. He gave statements to save his arse that got most of this ball rolling. I hope the bus drags him to Atlanta.

I lost all respect for Tagliabue. His statement clearly demonstrates his loyalty is to the NFL period. He should have never agreed to this case. I hope the defamation suit causes Goodell 's head to explode with rage.

The bad thing is the coaches (other than Vitt), are still not able to say anything good/bad about the whole thing.

They still have to be reinstated to the league.

I would really like to hear Loomis, Payton, Vitt, and Williams take on all this, but don't think any of them will.

NEVER hold a Corporate CEO in high regards. There is no honest reason to.

So the punishment handed down from the Goodel has been deamed inappropriate and so now he gets what?
"Whoops, my bad" is not going to cut it.

In this case everyone goes home.

In Vilmas case against Goodell, that has yet to be determined.
