Quit deflecting DeMaurice.

You singed the paper giving Goodell the power.

I'm pretty sure the power was already there for the most part. The players wanted to strip away at it - and rightfully so - but gave in to get other things.

No one could have known Roger would abuse his authority to the degree that he has. It is unprecedented.

New CBA, no one had anything until it was signed.

In legal contracts you do not assume ............

There was already a framework in place - history. And yes it WAS a new CBA, and yes the players DID attempt to whittle away at Roger's power, and yes they did make a decision to leverage that against things like fewer full go practices and 18 games.

It was a calculated risk, but in their defense they could not assume Roger would go bat chit crazy the way he did.

He never played sports beyond high school. He has no background in law. Even still, he was an educated person surrounded by professionals to guide him. What could go wrong right?

Too little, too late! Our season and team has already been trashed. Outside of our last 3 games, I probably won't follow the NFL all that much until next years draft.
