"Actually, Tony Romo is a 4th generation Mexican-American.

I always thought he was Caucasian until he had a TV spot during the Hispanic Heritage Month couple of years back."

lol... Yeah... he's a white guy :P

I've got all sorts of blood lines, but I'm still white.

I always thought he was Italian. Looked it up & I guess 'Romo' is a Mexican surname also. Live & learn..

Yeah, that's true, but I think a lot of people think of people of Central and Northern European descent when talking about Caucasians - at least when it comes to North America.

Although, my understanding is that when talking about "white Hispanics" who are then considered to be Caucasians - we are talking about people of Spanish or Portuguese descent - and therefore, since I don't know what Romo's detailed heritage and bloodlines are... it isn't as easy as just looking at his skin tone. But I'm no expert in racial genealogy, so I might be wrong about this, and I do apologize if some of my wording is politically incorrect.

Still, none of this really matters... he's a pretty bad QB no matter who his ancestors were.

Goodell will never apologize. He has accomblished his mission, which was to ensure the Saints would not play in this super bowl.

Took him 4 and a half minutes to say it.

Some people just love the sound of their own voice.

I didn't find anything politically incorrect about what you said. I didn't have a problem with it at all, but I'm just saying he's still mostly a white guy and he gets plenty of criticism. He does a lot of idiotic things, and warrants that criticism, but he has a better track record than Pam Newton. That's why I found Warren Moon's comments to be really stupid. HE comes across as the racist, for suggesting that Pam gets grief just because he happens to be black.
