Re: 2013 Saints - Free Agency Targets

Colt McCoy could be a nice option if the Browns decide to send him packing, which might be the case:

The Cleveland Plain Dealer says it's doubtful that Colt McCoy will be back with the Browns in 2013.
Playing time escalators spiked McCoy's 2013 salary from $575,000 to $2.325 million. He doesn't fit the vertical passing offense, and the Browns don't consider him a viable starting option. Beat writer Terry Pluto considers Matt Moore an option to replace him. Derek Anderson has also been linked to the Browns. Mar 3 - 2:27 PM

Re: 2013 Saints - Free Agency Targets

JP Losman - local kid that can deal with hard times
Drew Stanton - another Player with thick skin
Colt McCoy - talent is there just wonder if the brownies agreed with him

So there are some good options out there

Matt Moore would have been perfect but i have always liked the kid, i wanted the saints to draft him. He has the smarts for the offense

Re: 2013 Saints - Free Agency Targets

I was surprised Moore elected to stay in Miami after the thread reply I got...

The three Hagan has listed are about the only guys I can see that would be similar in style to Brees...

Drew Stanton had a decent career at MSU, but has been kicked around a bit by the NFL. Put him in a stable environment behind Brees & I think the guy flourishes.

If I'm a quarterback trying to learn the game and maximize my potential in today's league, I'd take a 20% hit in the pocketbook to learn in Payton's offense...

Re: 2013 Saints - Free Agency Targets

It's that day...

And knowing how much help we need at OT and on Defense and not having cap room...

Well, we're gonna feel like those kids who didn't get Star Wars Action Figures or an XBox!!!
