I'm not saying it's realistic to think we'll make it. I personally declared the season over after last week. But it just so happens that we are still alive enough to have something to talk about.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were to make the playoffs, why do you say you've seen nothing to tell you we could win a game? We just won 41-0. We also beat the current top seed in the NFC, and if not for Drew gift wrapping the other game for Atlanta, we would have swept them. It's a Jekyll and Hyde team, but when we're on we can beat anyone.

Talk about anything you like... 20+ independent threads on the same topic with the same scenarios ......

I say that because 41-0 against Tampa bay is not consistently playing playoff worthy football on all 3 sides of the ball. Some teams do peak later in the end of the season... We are 1-3 for weeks 11-15. That is not playoff worthy football.

How many games this season have the offense, defense, and special teams all shown up to play in the same game? 1 at best.

Beating Tampa Bay 41-0 when they have the worst pass defense in the league scoring only 1 rushing TD doesnt tell me we can gointo a game against any of the projected playoff teams and be confident of a win... or confident all three sides of the ball will show up. We are not playing playoff foot ball now, nor have we all season.

Then there are those people who ADAMANTLY declare the season over, then come in the following week and declare we are still in. Which statement is true?

boy you got that right.

So we're still in mathematically? Wow!

Of course, mathematically Aunt Ruth is still waiting to grow that set of balls.
:jimmoraPlayoffs!?:

But you know, I WANT to still be at least mathematically in it, so we can just
root a little.... especially if its all the way down to the Panthers game. We've
ALWAYS been a longshot, guys. Thats the fun of "FAITH".

Now lets kick the Cowboys butts and enjoy the game. and also see who our players are going to be next year. GEAUX.

btw, a number of people lost their FAITH in the Dome yesterday and didnt show. It was still better attended than some games past, but I had more butt room in
my seat than usual, and didnt have to stand, unless I wanted to.

But overall we are still WhoDat Nation and you could see it in the streets of
New Orleans, in every store, on every vehicle--- We still have more craziness
in our place than another team down the road thats going to the playoffs. Not
dissing them, but thats just what I see.

Raise your hand if you still bought some Saints stuff recently. (mine) (Academy on clearview had a bunch of good stuff.)

LOL, no doubt, didn't have as much trouble getting into and out of the city as usual either.

They won, they won, they won, they won.
That is all I want to know. I saw it with my own two eyes :-)
Yeah, it is late , lesser team in TB, all that but, Saints won and got some momentum and it will carry to the next two must-win games to finish 8-8. They know they have too.

GOOD!!

8-8 for 2012 sounds good to me.

6-8 would tell anyone that we haven't played like a playoff team for the whole season. That's not what this is about. The point is if we have something to keep things at least a little interesting, why not talk about it. Unlike what you seem to think, we're not idiots. We're not going crazy saying this is definitely, or even probably going to happen. We know it would take a miracle. I felt the season was over after lastweek, and I still don't think we're gonna make it. I'm a realist, but I'm still a fan and I'll keep hoping.

I know how bad this team has looked at times, but you're flat out wrong when you say we couldn't beat any team in the playoffs. I already explained why, so I'm not going to repeat the same things to an eternal pessimist. If we somehow made it, then we'd be in whether you think we SHOULD be or not.

Did you think the 7-9 Seahawks were going to beat us? Neither did I, but it happened. We weren't exactly playing playoff football at the end of the '09 regular season, were we? But we were in, and we won the Superbowl. No, I'm not predicting a Superbowl this year, just trying to illustrate my point.

Slam bam! Thats the answer to all this!
It looked really good from my seat in the Terrace Sunday, I can tell you that... And there were times when you couldnt tell it wasnt 100% full--- as it got loud and crazy. We raised hell on TB's last possession, to try to save the shutout, as if the game was in the balance.
