When chase Daniel came in, a play where joe Morgan got hit early and pass interference was called

The pass by chase was huge, I never knew he had that kind of arm, looked like he barely even tried to throw it and it went 50 yards easy, if joe Morgan wasn't hit early I think that would be another long TD

when drew calls it a career I wonder if chase will still be around or his replacement would have been drafted by then

He has sort of been signing a series of one-year deals, year by year, ever since he's been here. I'm not sure he stays, but this past year they just made him a $1 million dollar man, which although it's peanuts compared to a Brees or Rogers or Eli, that is still nothing to hang your head about, in the NFL salary world. I think he sticks around a while.

Are you kidding, this kid has a great deal. He works with the best QB in the league, never gets hit, doesn't have all the pressure, and just has to make sure he faces the laces out. And all this for 1-mil? Sign me up. LOL

He is not the heir apparent to Brees. I doubt he wants hold a clipboard for 5 or 6 more years.

I would hope he's more driven than that. If he's not, he certainly isn't NFL starter quality.

Two, maybe three years? Certainly not 8 or 9 years.

Well, Young played w the Yucs then te L.A. Express for several years before waiting behind Montana for another few years. Imagine if he didnt have to wait as long as he did what he couldve accomplished. Same for Warren Moon if he hadnt had played in the CFL for all those years.

This is very true. I think he could work out in Arizona actually. I like Chase too much as a person to want him to go through hell in Philly or New York though. Jacksonville might be a good place as well.

I love that comment!
However why wouldn't he stick around for 1 million a year learning from Drew Brees. Not too many "elite" quarterbacks you can say you learned directly from.

Chase does have it good right now, considering his circumstances. If a team makes him an offer to compete for a starting job, though, there's no chance he turns that down. Even if he ends up like Matt Flynn and still gets beat out by someone else, he would be making more money than he is now. Flynn is making butt loads more than he was in GB. I'm not convinced that offer will come this off season, but it will happen pretty soon, I think.
