Saints inactives - Ivory OUT

Quote:

Arlington, Texas -- New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory is inactive again today for the Saints' game against the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium.

Ivory, whose balky hamstring apparently has healed, wasn't on the team's injury report this week. But he'll miss his third straight game.

Ivory joined fullback Jed Collins (knee, toe) on the inactive list.

The Saints' other inactives are linebacker Scott Shanle, defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker, defensive end Turk McBride, offensive lineman Ricky Henry and receiver Saalim Hakim.

Cornerback Patrick Robinson (groin) will be active after being listed as questionable on Friday.
Well it looks like someone did try to snatch Hakim off of our practice squad forcing us to call him up to the 53.

"Ivory out", think we'll hear a more final version of that statement in the off-season.

How many games did he make? 5? Something tells me he's trade bait.

If he was trade bait wouldn't they show case him or at least acvtivate him and give him a couple of carries?

Should have moved him when he was healthier and had more value. Who truly, really knows how injured he is? Could be minor, could be worse. I would hate to see us playing games with the kid......I think he should be given an opportunity to play elsewhere, if he stays healthy and has a productive career,,,,,good for him.....if he stays injured and his career ends, then oh well.

How about we put Chris Ivory into perspective:

He didnt miss the first 8 weeks because of injury.

He averaged 5.4 YPC in the games he was ALLOWED to play in.

Ivory will be kept because he is very cheap. You are not going to trade him for someone as cheap and productive.
