You know, I really like the idea that we hurt the Cowboys, and I want to go on hurting the Cowboys and it will be even sweeter when we re-sign Payton and Jones is left out in the breeze.

I'm starting to believe that Joe Vitt has been a lot more valuable to this team than any of us ever realized.

Make no mistake. I want Sean back. Period.

But I wonder - had Vitt been around early if we'd be prepping for a playoff game rather than getting ready to plan our offseason?

Yeah, I was kinda wondering the same thing.

We've played some our best and worst games of the year under Vitt. I don't see where he made a difference. Just think it took our players too long to put the off season behind them and focus on playing Saints football.

All of us here said the losses to Carolina, KC and Green Bay (all late game losses) would hurt us and that what happened

We made a comeback as best we could but the slow start was ultimately our downfall, also the inconsistency aswell

The biggest killer was the KCC game. We snatched defeat after everyone had assigned a "W" to the Saints.
