The New Orleans Saints have professionally been given a reason to say ‘ bah humbug’ as other teams cruise towards the playoffs and they prepare for the end of a grueling season.

Saints interim head coach Joe Vitt said on Tuesday that he can’t enjoy Christmas in his business.

"I’m not waiting for anyone with a white beard to come down the chimney and hand us the divisional championship,” Vitt told the Associated Press. “We’ll try to get our coaches out of here tonight a bit early to have some dinner with their family and then spend (Christmas) morning. But listen, we’re getting ready for a game.”

“When you get into this business, you say to yourself, ‘You’re not going to enjoy Thanksgiving. You’re not going to enjoy Christmas. You’re working through those things.’ So I’ll look forward to Easter in the springtime and, I guess, Arbor Day. That’s the nature of our business.”

Vitt is right about the NFC South championship as the Atlanta Falcons own that prize once again. However we do wish Joe a Merry Christmas.

So you're buying into the Goodell version of the "facts"? Or only in as far as they apply to Vitt? I guess the evidence backs your stance. I have to guess because I haven't seen anything that you could really call evidence but I guess you and 3000 "journalists can't be wrong.
