Anyone want to fill in the gaps from the current roster,Draft or free agency.
Depending on what can be done with the cap and who is available in the first and third round when we pick I think that Bush,Quddus,Hawthorne,Casilas, Johnson,Wilson,Chamberlain could all slot in.

We need to find a way to start Casillas regularly and dump Vilma. I think the secondary needs to be the focus in the draft. Also a DE to replace Will Smith

I still say we need an OT if the talent fits the draft spot. We aren't going anywhere unless drew gets time.

I like some of our young talent on D. I thought White started to turn the corner some right before the injury. I like 42 back there. Mack isn't a starter, but might be okay as a nickel/ backup roll.
I think we need a corner though because Greer isn't getting any younger.

I like some of our DLINE guys and our LB's started playing better. We need some help on D, but I think we have some decent talent with the young guys.

I was glad to see us trying people out, basically, so we could make some off-season decisions. Now, when does SP get back into the building?

In fact upon narrowing I'd say safety is probably least of our problems.

I think Harper is gone and I have no idea what to do with MJ but out of all our secondary MJ is by far the worst.

Also I agree that white and p-rob are going to be great corners next season. Greer is done too. Gone was once our so called best cb tandem with Greer and porter. Those days long gone.

Give me a proven pass rusher, none of this "he's raw but got a ton of upside crap" sick of hearing that "he'll be good in a couple years," we need them to be good now

We need someone who is a proven impact player and can make a difference straight away

We need D-line help to help out the secondary. I don't care who you have back there, if you can't get pressure in the QB your dead in the water.

Trade Harper, He's under contract but if you really want a safety in the first round ( there's no way we go safety in the first unless all the other defensive playmakers are gone on defense before 15 ) But if we had to go safety Eric Reid from LSU would be my choice he is a first rounder.....

The offense has to become faster and more variable. Guess this guy would rock that task and give Drew more Options, more time to pass. He got blocked too often in the past season

If we are talking safety at 15 there is only one player worth taking there that knows how to play the position

Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State

Jenkins plays closer to line as a so called SS, which is no longer a true position with all the rule changes in the NFL. he seems to play best in a 20 yard zone from the OL

Let Banks play deep zone. He plays off WR as it is.

So the saints take to the field with all CB in the secondary

Patrick Robinson is the worst Corner I have ever seen in a Saints uniform. And there have been some bad one's. I don't think there is a prayer he ever becomes good, much less great.

It's hard to say what we need the most, but just by virtue of having Lofton in the middle, I believe linebacker is our strongest point. It ain't good, but the D-line and secondary don't have anyone with the same impact as Lofton. Must get a pass rusher, and find some way to get some secondary help in free agency.

I'm not so sure about that. He could have led the team with picks this season. Dude is extremely athletic - he had his hands on a lot of passes this season. I have a hunch he will break out next season.

I don't believe I've ever seen someone compliment a player for something he could have done. But if you wanna look at it that way, Roman Harper has dropped about 30 interceptions in his career. 7 years in, he has not broken out. But personally, I haven't noticed where P-Rob has had that many opportunities to get an INT. He gets burned so badly, he is never close to the ball. he has a tendency to just stop in the middle of a receiver's route, and when teams throw short passes in front of him he always backs up instead of making the tackle.

I would love for you to be right about him, but based on everything he's done, I don't see a shred of evidence that he'll be any good.

If I read it correctly it would only save like a million if we cut Harper which sucks because I think he is the first that needs to go. Our backups played better then him. I would give them a chance next year and pass on a early safety. OT, D-line and CB are 3 needs that must be addressed first.

Give me someone with enough speed to stay with a receiver and not get burnt, and enough awareness to play the ball once it is released.

Cr4p... having enough awareness to even glance back for the ball in 30 yards of running would be an improvement.

We need a DT to put pressure on the QB. A corner, safety, lb'er or DE are a must too. But God, please start with the DT.
