Looking down the road

With Brees & Payton under contract, Spags having a full offseason with the players he knows will be playing (not worrying about suspensions), and this game of musical chairs the coaching staff has been playing finally coming to an end, I'm curious to see how some of our young/IR players will work out with the proper tutelage.
I just want to know what you guys are thinking of players like Toon, Chamberlain, Morgan and Hicks (and anyone else you feel is an up and comer)? Where do you think they will fit in to their respective schemes? I see Toon replacing Henderson while Morgan has emerged as a future deep threat and on defence I can see Hicks taking over for that lame wad Elis.
I also think Mack is a good fit for Spags zone-read d, and with Chamberlain knowing his system, he might be a real good fit as a Will linebacker.

As always, I would love to get some other opinions from my fellow Who Dats.

Re: Looking down the road

Agreed with your points

Joe morgan has suprised me, but the guy can play, he is a beast after the catch also
Like you said mack is good in spags defense but what impresses me is that he's equally good in both man and zone coverage, which is rare

Hicks will replace Ellis (waste of draft pick)
Hicks and Tom Johnson will form a good duo in the middle, alot of people overlook Tom Johnson but he makes plays everytime he's in there

If toon can stay healthy he and lance Moore could be deadly on the crossing routes seen as they are both possession receivers

It will be interesting to see how chamberlain fairs if healthy, we paid Hawthorne the big bucks to be this tackling machine and Its like he's vanished in recent games

I'd like us to get a taller corner, OLB and DE in the draft

Cameron Jordan is only going to get better and whilst I like junior galette, I'm not sure if he's only a situational player at the minute, much like martez Wilson

We need a dominant DE to compliment Jordan

Your bonehead creator picked a fine chapter to omit from your memory bank....let me ask you, does a machine like yourself ever experience fear? - Vegeta, DBZ

I like Jones a lot actually, he is very underrated. I'm not ready to send Bunkley up the river yet either, maybe another year and he'll be good in this system.

Yeah I agree 100% I said in another thread I think Bunkley sucked because he was playing along side Ellis. With Bunkley hicks and Johnson our inside d linemen are gonna dominate.

I want Okafor from Texas. I'm hearing he will he around either in the 2nd or 3rd and after seeing the bowl game he was in yesterday, I would love to see him in black and gold.

Re: Looking down the road

are there any updated mock drafts? I know they're basically garbage but I like to sift through them anyways, sometimes they yield something decent haha.
