I have a question did the Saints finish 2nd or 3rd?
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If 2nd then why are they playing Chicago and Dallas two third place teams next season? If 3rd then why are they picking behind both Tampa and Carolina in the draft?...

I have a question did the Saints finish 2nd or 3rd?
If 2nd then why are they playing Chicago and Dallas two third place teams next season?
If 3rd then why are they picking behind both Tampa and Carolina in the draft? |

They finished 3rd in the division, because they lost to the Panties both times and they had the exact same record in conference and division.
The draft order was determined by the "strength of schedule" between the four 7-9 teams, and the Saints held the best strength of schedule among those teams. See here: New Orleans Saints will have No. 15 overall pick in 2013 NFL draft | NOLA.com |
