League says there’s no timetable for Payton reinstatement hearing
 

Earlier today, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell won’t consider a reinstatement request from Saints coach Sean Payton until after the Super Bowl.

Not so fast, the NFL says.

According to league spokesman Greg Aiello, no timetable has been set for considering Payton’s request for reinstatement.

So, in theory, it can happen at any time, including after the Super Bowl. Or before it.

The only thing we can say, with at least 95-percent certainty, is that it won’t happen during the Super Bowl.

Hmm, if he comeback and say he have to wait after the probowl; it should be some kinda investigation done & the coaches should start a union

Officially, thats' the earliest date Goodell would consider reinstating him. My guess is that Goodell is resentful enough to go beyond his pound of flesh.

Well of course there isn't a time table. Payton is suspended until after the Super Bowl... No discussions about it will happen until after he is no longer suspended.

This is a three step process:

1. Suspension has to expire.
2. Reinstatement talks have to happen.
3. Payton then has to be reinstated.
