For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

As the titles says, for 2 weeks only we must all support the packers

Just because - they play the 9ers next week (can't stand the 40 whiners)

If they beat the 9ers and the falcons win, they are playing the falcons in the NFCCG

two teams that i absolutely cannot stand, the whiners and failclowns, packers have to make it to the SB, i dont care who wins, just dont any of those two teams get there

I don't care if Packers, 49ers or whoever wins as long as its not the Falcons.

The biggest IF of the playoffs is what I put in bold. They haven't proven a damn thing IF they can't win a playoff game. It doesn't matter IF they play the Redskins or the Seahawks, they won't have an easy task the way those two teams are playing. You know how LSU fans say that their favorite teams are the Tigers and anyone that plays Alabama? Well, you get the picture of how I feel about the Falcons.

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

I am actually rooting for the Seahawks. I like what they have done. I don't want the packers to go to the SB. that's just gonna more talk about Rogers being "the best" yeah the guys an awesome QB he really is. But the records and niners speak for themselves. Brees is the best QB the NFL has ever had the pleasure of seeing. The only difference is the other "elite" QB's have a average to above average defense. So here's to the Seahawks making it.

Records and "numbers"*** my bad. I hate auto correct.

makes no difference who represents the NFC in the SB, Broncos are going to win it all.

Everyone else is fatally flawed.

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

Would rather see the Skins or Seahawks make it through. I used to like the Packers, but there is just something about Rogers and that smirk he gets on his face that just rubs me the wrong way. I really hope Denver takes it all, for Manning's sake, but it doesn't matter as long as it's not the falcons.

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

There is a very slim possibility that I'll watch to see if the failcons get to the NFCCG but that's it cause I want to see them lose in game 1.

I'm going Denver and tbh Im kinda pulling for Seattle.
I'd also love to see Atlanta keep the "1 and done" record

Whoever beats the falcons and if Aaron rodger could beat the miners I'd have a great next weekend.

I think Seattle wil give the Falcons a good ass whipping.
However I think Denver has this wrapped up.

If I had to pick someone, it would be the Texans over the Seahawks.

I honestly don't see the texans getting past new England much less Denver or Baltimore. I thought they were a good team early in the season but they lost some games that would have put them over the top

Just my 2 cents

I just became the world's biggest Seahawk fan. Maybe Lynch will grab his crotch at them, too.

Packers - Seahawks NFC championship would be best case senario for me. I kinda hope Manning gets the Bronco's there AFC wise. I can't stand the thought of Atlanta in the Superbowl in the Dome.

Agreed any team but the Dirty Birds. I hope the Hawks run over them.

Don't disagree - Texans have definitely lost a lot of their swagger. The Seahawks and the Texans are the only two teams I can stomach seeing in the Superbowl.

I'm sure it will end up worst-case scenario so I can really not care an ounce - 49ers vs. Ravens

If it is 49ers-Ravens, I may be cheering for the Mayans to have been off a few weeks...

This is what I hope for the NFCCG.

And bring back the replacement refs!

Texans are going to get stomped this weekend, as for the NFC screw that punk Rogers and the Packers, Seahawks all the way

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

How do you guys change allegiance through the playoffs when a team loses in a round?

I cant root for anyone but New Orleans. If my daughters team didnt make the playoffs I wouldn't care what happened in the playoffs.

As much as I don't like the Falcons, it expends too much energy to hate them so much to root for their loss... I just don't care what they do or dont do lol.

For some, it is effortless to hate the clowns. Most might consider it less work than breathing.

Jamessr 01-07-2013 01:54 PM

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

It's not a thing of rooting for another team, althought the OP stated it as such. I do have other teams that I honestly don't mind watching. TBH Dallas, Detroit, Denver are some of them.

I don't expend effort on hating Atlanta, its just the way I was raised so it's second nature.

The hate flows freely ... Trust me.

However no matter how much I hate Atlanta I cant Cheer for Seattle. They took us out of the playoffs remember...

Also.. after the way this season has gone. The way absolutely nothing has gone our way.. I am not about to end up in a support group because I vested emotional equity in Seattle and they lose.

I don't see it as rooting for Seattle, more like I want to see Atlanta loose so bad and that's the team they are playing. Honestly besides pulling against the Texans none of the other 3 games really kept my interest for all that long

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

Peyton Manning - that's who I'm pulling for...

...now, if the Pats get in, then I'm pulling out my 70s/80s Patriots Jersey/Hat (what would be referred to as 'throwback' in modern vernacular as opposed to those awful USPS Jerseys and Helmets they wear today)...

This has been one of the worse years in NFL Playoffs for me; the only thing that could have made it worse would be if both the NY teams got in (though I pull for Eli) and Jerry's Kids in Dallas; the Minnesota Frauds; ...

This will be schadenfreude playoffs, taking pleasure as nearly every team I hate is in the playoffs and they get knocked off...

The Hate Priority List

Atlanta
San Francisco
Baltimore
Seattle
Green Bay

Denver was granted an exemption because of Peyton Manning, otherwise they would have made the list...

Seattle baby. they are long over due

WillSaints81 01-08-2013 05:13 PM

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

I can only see Green Bay, Denver, New England, San Francisco winning it all with the slight possibility it could be that other team. Seattle does not have the same players as 05, just the fans. There is no way a rookie though is winning a sb. And I think Atlanta will beat them unfortunately. We're going to get a scare I mean what would be the story of our season if two teams we don't mind winning played in the sb? The NFL is always going to have drama to it, just like 07 when Miami fans needed a miracle for NE to not 19-0, or when Brady went to sb in Manning's absent year and lost the sb to his brother. No, I believe there is gonna be a scare.

And were jobbed by the refs in the Pittsburgh Superbowl, 2008?

They're my NFC favorite with the Packers a very close second.

In the AFC its Houston (since I lived there during the Moon era), and anybody that beats the Ravens and Ray Lewis.

RailBoss 01-08-2013 08:33 PM

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

I will go with Russell Wilson and the Hawks over Atlanta (of course) a little tired of the Packers. Wouldn't mind Wade's Texans taking the AFC. Agree with Danno can't wait until Lewis is gone. There is so much more to Ray Ray's dark past that people don't even know about. Yet the NFL prompts him up like a Poster Child. He makes TO and Pacman look like Pikers.
But whatever happens The Dirty Birds need to go down in a blowout game.

I have met exactly one famous person in my life and it was Matt Hasselback. I had just gotten off of a plane in Orlando with my family the week before the Steelers/Cardinals Superbowl and spotted Matt at the baggage claim area. I walked up to him and said, "Mr. Hasselback? I'm not a Seahawks fan, I'm a Saints fan. Do you mind if I get my picture taken with you?" Kind of a cooky greeting but he was very cordial.

After the pictures I asked him which team he wanted to win in the Superbowl that year. His response was, "Arizona. One hundred percent." The Seahawks are in the same division as the Cardinals so I found that really interesting.
He made me hate the Seahawks a little less that day.

Re: For 2 weeks only, we root for the packers

Doesn't cost me any time or worry to hate the Falcons. Almost universally we all do so nothing would make me happier than that first game loss. Other wise it may be enjoyable to see them come here and get stomped.
