Perhaps, but the fact that they were on practice squads makes me think there's undeveloped potential there.

Yeah, they are probably longshots but didn't we all say similar things when we acquired DLP, Quddus, Bush, Mack, Tom Johnson, Galette, Ivory, PT, Moore, and Morgan?

I don't think our front office views many players as just camp bodies anymore. We have a lot of camp bodies that ended up making the 53.

Good. Keep bringing guys in. Have to shotgun approach it to find talent. It's not just going to show up at the front door.

Yeah, you're right, but that is what these two will end up being in all likelihood - anything else, and they're beating the odds.

Johnson was immediately signed to a 3-year $1.4M contract, so it was clear from the get-go that that Saints wanted him in some capacity or another, since he was under contract with the Calgary Stampeders at the time.

Glad to see they are real active because in my opinion we have a lot of players that have to go we need new blood on our defense no question about it.

Perhaps .... but the defense has not shown to bear fruit with this approach.. Hopefully our luck will change.
