This years playoff teams best in a long time

I think we have some good teams out there this year. SF is in beast mode, Atlanta is good and has loads of talent and just tends to win games, the Seahawks surprised. Not to mention the AFC. These games have been close and exciting too. All playoff teams are good (except Seattle the year they beat us) they wouldn't be there if they weren't, but I think it would be very hard for us this year even if we had Payton. BTW this years NFCCG could not possibly be any worse. Even if Atlanta and Dallas played. Atlanta WILL not play in a SB in our house. Neither can the 49ers. SB banned this year.

They were all good games this weekend. It was good watching games with out clutching my chest and grabbing for the Xanax.

atlanta is more lucky than good. a good team would have put that game away along time before the last second, second try field goal.

Atlanta is the worst team left in the playoffs, 49ers are going to destroy them come Sunday since SF is one of the few teams allowed to play defense in this pass happy era

They did put it away, they just couldn't keep it that way through the second half,.

Falcons is lucky they got a kicker as accurate as Matt Bryant.

He has had to decide many many close games the Falcons should of lost by kicking some decently long field goals, most over 40 yards. Not just this year, but in years past.

Its a No-Win Situation as far as I'm concerned. I hate both NFC teams but the lesser evil is SF. I feel that if SF wins the NFC they will win it all but if atlanta manages to win , they could easily lose in the SB. The falcons still are very beatable by the remainder of the AFC. I had hoped SF would never reach the playoffs ever again much less advance to the NFCCG, Same for the falcons. I probably won't even watch the rest of the playoffs much less the SB. I'll listen in to some of it on the radio but with the field of teams left, I just don't give a rats furry rearend.

Well if the Patriots win it might be all fine and dandy.

They are at least in a similar boat as the Saints, Pats got to go up against the NFL more than the Teams as well.

That's what I'm talking about with Atlanta. You can pull off a game like that against Pete Carroll & his rookie QB, but if that had been SFran, Bal, NE on the other side of the ball, they never would have been in a position to win that game after blowing a lead like that. Belichek and the Harbaugh brothers are 'closers', Carroll is not.

Yep. Check his longest for each year since 2004.

Field Goals, Luck and Roger Goodell can only get you so far. In this case to the NFC Championship with homefield advantage.

The Falcons have a very tough game infront of them... and IF they make it to the superbowl its still a tall order.

Matt Bryant Stats - Atlanta Falcons - ESPN

it speaks volumes.

each season as a Falcon its been over 50.

He had one season in TB with 50, and one with 62 which was an insane kick.

He has a good amount of 40-49 yarders to which was most of the game deciding kicks.
