I'd like to see that list. The 1st list I saw has Bushrod rated the number 1 free agent tackle in the entire league.

In the list you linked, he's listed number one in alphabetical order.

I used PPF's ranking. As papz pointed out the other day, they're not perfect and their rankings can be subjective but I think it shows there are quite a few good offensive tackles on the market this season. Hopefully, that will drive the market price down.

No, its not in alphabetical order, sort of. The top section lists the top 6 Free-agents at that position, then the next section is everyone else in alphabetical order...

So I guess worst case he's #6.

The PFF list you linked is for both LT and RT and is ranked based on their 2012 performance. Some have less than 3 or 4 games.

Yes, it is ranked on 2012 performance. Is that bad?

Eight of the tackles ranked ahead of Bushrod had over a thousand snaps. And only one has under 400 snaps.

And you are correct this list includes both right and left. I haven't seen a free agent ranking list that differentiates left vs. right. I'm sure we could find one somewhere or we could go through the list ourselves.

But I think the point I was making is still valid, there are literally a dozen free agent offensive tackles this season that are as good or better than Bushrod and that should drive the market price down.

Bushrod is the fifth best free agent tackle available...

But if and his agent want to get there's and the money is near the top of the market...well then we are going to have to upgrade and spend the money on either Clady, Long, or Fat Albert...

“It’s going to be subject to what his perceived market is and what we’re able to do. He’s the No. 1 tough deal,” Loomis said of Bushrod.

As thing stand right now, the Saints are projected to be over the cap by $14.7 million next year (NFL Cap Space), so they’ll have to make some serious adjustments in the coming months if they hope to retain Bushrod.

The good news for the Saints is that there are a number of a quality offensive tackles on the market this year, which should really help to bring down the price of some of these players like Bushrod.

We have Bushrod ranked as the No. 28 best available player on our Top 50 Free Agents list.
