Jacksonville requested permission from New Orleans to interview Pete Carmichael Jr for its OC job. New Orleans still wants to re-sign him.

Not a promotion for Pete, but he is not under contract with the Saints. IMHO, Pete stays with the Saints. Close to Brees and likes NO.

The way other teams are going after our coaches you would think we won the Superbowl instead of finishing 7-9. I wish someone would take McMahon off our payroll.

I think he learned a valuable lesson this year. He's not ready... why bother.

And just as importantly he learned what he doesn't know, and can zero in on improving that.

He'll be a better coach someday because of all of this. Kromer probably will too.
