Are they trying to challenge Ambrose and Craft for worst play?

Yes, I said Craft. Funny thing...he had decent coverage on the play he got injured during. Too bad he got burned like an Ambrose a few plays earlier.

I have yet to want McKenzie on this team, but I am slowing converting.

Otherwise, I can't wait til Tuesday. Somebody has to cut a CB better than what we have.

guys, i\'m telling you, it wouldn\'t matter if we had mckenzie AND god himself on the other side, if we don\'t have a middle force at the DT spot and don\'t get pressure on the QB, well never stop the pass... our DT\'s are not exploding off the line like they need to. Rather, at the snap they stand up erect and try to push the blocker with their arms, a battle they\'ll lose most of the time due to the fact that OLmen are taught to use their hands and arms for leverage against DT\'s.... if we were to get up under their pads and immediately get momentum into the blocker, rather than vertically getting momentum by standing up, we would have advantage at the point of attack and actually push/collapse the pocket.

I understand that a good pass rush helps the CBs, but you can\'t expect the rush to get there in under 3 seconds either. If I have heard correctly most QBs try to get the ball out under 4 seconds. Our CBs are getting beat before the rush can get there on many downs. It\'s not all about the pressure. If we had another CB as good as Thomas, I\'d be happy and the team would be better.

i also think it would help, but not solve the current problem for the saints... the personnel, w/ the exception of ambrose, that we have are good players that are more than capable of covering almost every receiver in the league... the opposing signal caller in every game and scrimmage thus far has had too much time in the pocket, due mainly to the lack of pressure applied at the point of attack... no one, i repeat no one, does their job in the interior of the line, and even the ends are lacking a bit as well. i could go out there against no pass rush and throw for at least 150 yards... you have to get in the vicinity of the QB and disrupt his mechanics, mobility, etc. we ain\'t doin\' that...
