Playing next to the likes of Nicks and Grubbs have helped him immensely in becoming a name that is tossed in to the Pro Bowl discussion annually, but he will ask for more than he is worth, and if his price-tag will be at the level of Albert and Long - then why not upgrade to a better LT with the same cap hit?!
This is exactly my problem with the amount credit Bushrod seems to be getting. As you said, he has played along side some of the best interior linemen in the league. He isn't bad, but much effort is put into masking both of our tackles deficiencies. Bushrod definitely better than Strief, but a pro bowler he is not. If he thinks he's worth that kind of money, I say goodbye. That might sound mean spirited, but it's a pure matter of value vs. other needs. We need OT's pretty badly, but if we're gonna spend 7, 8, 9 million on someone, he has to be better than Jermon.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Can we get someone who clearly better and about the same age as Bushrod for a price that isn't going to break the bank. I don't have any idea.
