And he did just that with the Saints organization. He is stringing it along to maintain leverage in the media. As long as Goodell has one thing..a draft pick... he can keep the Saints organization from roasting him publicly.

Sean is back, great time to start kicking ass and taking names again. This is a complete PR move by Goodell so he could survive his stay next week. IMO he doesn't give the 2nd rounder back just so the team can't roast him in the media. Any presser today?

This doesn't change much, he was going to be reinstated the day after the Super Bowl, Roger is just trying to suck up to the city of New Orleans and our fans. I'd much rather have that second round draft pick back. I hope our fans boo loudly when Roger takes the stage after the Super Bowl.

Why would we risk roasting Roger in the media after getting the 2nd rounder back? He could just renege and take it back from us again. He is God-ell, after all.

I did hear something about how our draft position might be the silver lining... We have a lot of holes to fill on the defense and the somewhat "early" draft position can help.

Absolutely. The whole thing has turned out to be egg on his face and tarnished his reputation, so he almost has no choice but to un-do the remaining punishments before he gets here. I think it's coming and will happen at a time when the sports media is concerned with something else
