Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

What is your reason for not wanting (insert team here) to win:

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

I still remember the pre-cap days when it was either San Fran or the Cow pies every year. Got tired of them being shoved down my throat. Not living in the market area, I'd get maybe one Saints game every other year while having to endure those two teams every week. Sick of them then, still sick of them. Plus I think ravens are cool birds.

San Fran, because I've never liked them and their coach is a diva.

Also, there are lots of Ravens players I actually like who I wouldn't mind seeing win the big game. Their team name's also pretty cool. Yes, when the NFL takes everything from your team, this is the kind of stuff you have to look at the find someone to root for. "Their team name is cool yo."

I still harbor some ill will to SF and that last play off game....can't help it I hold grudges. Them having bad memories is appealing to me.

I have good friends in Baltimore and the Raven's fan base is a lot of fun. At least from the exposure I have had with them.

Pulling for the Ravens. The nasty history the Saints have with the 49ers doesn't help. Plus, the Ravens coach is the less douchier of the Harbaugh's and it's also my boss's favorite team.

Ravens all the way. I hate Kaepernick. I hate his douchenozzle smile. I hate his bicep kissing celebration (which is almost as bad as Scams "Superman" celebration.) I also think the Ravens have cooler colors....and I also agree with the Onebyone: The Ravens is a cool name. And also Neugey: The Ravens Harbaugh is far less douchnozzlier than the 49er Harbaugh (who is a sellout and an arrogant bastard).

Which teams are in the Super Bowl again?

I want the Ravens to win, because they are coached by the less annoying of the Harbaugh brothers.

Also, they have a really good GM.

I'm with FinSaint, John Harbaugh annoys me far less than Jim Harbaugh. Ravens all the way, but I don't think I'll be watching the game that closely.

Who has the time with all these great hockey games piling up?! :-)

BTW, Stuart has looked really good back in teal - plays with a lot of confidence, something the other defensemen should do more often.

I want the Ravens to win as Ed Reed deserves a championship ring.

, that is kinda' where that sentiment came from. As much as I don't want to watch the NHL, it just draws you back, eh?

Glad Stuart is enjoying playing closer to home, because the RedWings special teams suck now! I don't think they've scored a goal on the power play to date and they've been scored on something like over half of their penalty kills. It's oogly,.

We could use a guy like Brad Stuart right about now ... <sigh>.

Yeah, I hear ya!

The Sharks have looked surprisingly ready to compete right out of the gates, and even without Brett Burns. They scored 6 goals in the first period against Edmonton the other night, which was a new franchise record for most goals in the first period. I haven't yet watched their home opener from last night, but they were solid in their first two away games, and their PK looks immensely better this year - thanks to Larry Robinson no doubt.

Definitely, San Jose & Chicago gotta' be the early favorites out of the West. I'm afraid my Wings are going to have to deal with too much adversity losing key defensive players, injury & now Holstrom retiring, to be that competitive this season, but they'll give it a run.

They've had slow starts in the past and ended up still making the playoffs at the end of the season, but I guess it's all magnified with the shortened season - there's so much pressure to start off well.

To me, Detroit still has one heck of a coaching staff, and I think with the core veteran players they have, they'll be able to get back in to the hunt in no time.

You're 100% right, the RedWings are the pride of Detroit, the coaching staff & organization have always been first rate. We've had a lot of good years, so they get a pass, unlike the Lions,.

I don't like either team. But I think San Fran will prevail.

Still hate the 49ers worse than the Falcons. Old wounds that never healed.

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

I hope they both lose, the Niners because of our history with them, and the Ravens because of Ray "Stick-em In The Ribs" Lewis. And I hope Goodell gets his ass kicked walking down Poydras street.

But that's just me... :D

cheer for the niners ? never

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

I'm not really pulling for anybody. For me, the Super Bowl was last week. Atlanta lost. I'm happy.

I had to hold my nose to get on the Niners bandwagon for a week - and lord it wasn't easy. So, If I HAVE to choose, I guess gimmie the Ravens.

Ravens all the way. I do respect both defenses, however. I can't stand Kaeper-punk at all. Would really like to see him have to kiss Ray's biscep instead.

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

No team is going to win as they will play in multiple overtimes, eventually ending in a draw. It will be just like the BCS and AP in college whereby they will be declared begrudgingly co-champions, even though there is no such thing.

I don't like the brother for San Fran. He's a smug Ahole if you ask me.
His brother is ok and doesn't whine at every call like his brother. Plus his players relly seem to have bonded with him.

I'm pulling for the Ravens because SF owns us presently. I hate everything about them.

Would rather the AFC team win.

A thought regarding the Harbaugh's though... if Payton wasn't our coach, I'd love to have either one. They may be douchey, but they are damn good coaches.

The more SB coverage I see, the bigger Ravens fan I become.

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

My wallet says "Niners", my emotions say "Ravens", my mind is saying "Don't watch the game & go to Buffalo Wild Wings" ... where the game will be on, but at least I'll be able to maw down on some wings.

Re: Poll: Super Bowl Anti-Choice

I'm pulling for the Ravens myself. I have nothing against the the coach or the players for the 49'ers but I do hate their fanbase. When fans of opposing teams have their lives threatened in the stands just for cheering when their team makes a play, then thats enough for me hate them forever.
