this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If Ryan's hair is your biggest concern then we're gonna have a pretty good season coming up. Who is Stan Kwan and why couldn't he have just replaced McMahon?...

Wonder if Payton grilled Grantham about Jonathan Jenkins?

Good question. I think McMahon may be a better organizer, film reviewer, X's and O's type coach, but wanted that "teacher" type to help with the fundamentals.

Reminds me of when we signed Fred McAffee. He became a player/coach on our special teams and we got better almost overnight.

Kwan is probably a good teacher.

I don't think we have another run stuffin fat boy on the team. It would be a waste to play Hicks there when I think he could flat dominate at DE in a 3-4.

I heard Jamarcus Russell wanted back in the NFL.

"In (Kwan's) second stint with the Lions from 2004-09, Detroit’s special teams unit blocked 16 kicks, ranking as the second-most in the NFL over the six-year time span." That right there's giving me a warm fuzzy>

Well, Terrance Knighton is about the size of Jay Ratliff - a little shorter, but somewhat heavier - and best of all he could probably be had for the vet minimum or very close to it even though he is only 26.

Jay Ratliff, 6-4 & 303 lbs
Terrance Knighton, 6-3, 330 lbs

Oh, and even though Ryan wasn't my favorite for the job, I'm glad they hired someone finally, and he'll have something to prove after how things went down in Dallas.

I like Knighton, he's not bad.

I've read NT's ideally are around 6'2" and 325lbs.

I could see us drafting Jenkins from UGA at 15.
