Yeah, the FAs they listed seemed really familiar after having read your "shopping list" earlier. :-)


You know already very well how I feel about Knighton, so I won't go into that any further.

Beatty and Jones look intriguing out of that list. Beatty could play either side of the O-line if push came to shove, and he would be a definite upgrade over what the Saints have at the RT position at the moment with Strief and his backups. Jones would also be a nice pick up, because he would provide more size to the ILB pairing than Lofton or Hawthorne could together. He is almost the size Wilson is, and there's been discussion that Wilson might be needed to pair up with Lofton in the middle to beef up that pairing - with Jones on board that wouldn't be an issue anymore and Wilson would be free to line up as the other rushing LB on the outside.

OT is the issue this offseason and will drive everything in FA and/or the draft.

William Beatty OT NYG will be cheaper to sign than Bushrod IMO.

-Draft in round 1 LOT if one falls to you or if a better deal doesn't come along.
-Both players should be about the same as Bushrod will be asking.
-add a blocking TE that can catch late in the draft to help out
-i believe you have solved the OT position for the next 3 to 4 years.

imo that would be very cap smart plus would aid in the running game and give Ingram a fighting chance to prove his worth as a #1 pick in this offense

Brad Jones is one heck of a LB. Clay Matthews gets all the attention there, but Jones is always around the ball, too.
