When I was a youngster, I used to go to the Monroe Civic Center all the time to watch old Mid-South Wrestling when territories were still relevant. I got to see some guys that are considered legends today. Junkyard Dog, The Freebirds, Cowboy Bill Watts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ted Dibiase, The Rock and Roll Express, etc. You couldn't have told me then that wrestling wasn't real. I liked it more than football! :p |
