I think he is one of the best defensive guys. Everybody can blame him but the saints will not go get a real corner or get a first round talent at line backer. The only reason we drafted an end was because they do not want to pay Howard next year. It really is all on brooks. He has good numbers but zero leadership never does it when it counts. Venturi is the best coach we have period.

Youve got to be joking me. What has he done to bring the title best coach we have? They took an end because he was the best player on the board. They did the same thing with Duece and look how that turned out. I am a big beliver that you take the best player on the board regardless of position in the draft. Smith will be a stud in this league and is a cant pass player at that pick. What corner or LB did you want them to take with that pick. Vilma was gone. Williams was gone. Hall was gone. Who was left to take at that pick?

Will smith was the best player on the board but how can everyone blame venturi when we have not had an interior lineman since glover and mark fields was our last good linebacker. Where all of our big name players are on the offense yet it finds a way to be extremly average with all of brooks so called great numbers. If we could get some big name people on defense and then the defense still wasn\'t good then i could understand how people could get on him. Venturi can\'t make jonathan sullivan\'s overrated ass stop the run can he. Stopping the run has a lot to do about personel and venturi did a damn good job scheming the pass last year with what he had to work with.

First of all when Mark Fields was here he was a liability in the passing game. Always out of position. Its not like there was a lot of big name defensive players left when the saints drafted. I belive that the saints have taken a defensive player in the first round three years running. (Grant, Sullivan, and now Smith.) Showing that they are committed to trying to help Venturi out. They may have missed on Sullivan, but it too early to tell.

The frightening thing is that Venturi actually could be the best coach we have. The rest of them aren\'t worth diddly poo either. Of course, it\'s like saying, \"Cheer up, you\'re in the least smelly part of the outhouse\" too.
