IIRC didn't Vilma have some sort of degenerative knee issue from College?

That is a very hard one to say and it is always a gamble in the draft. I say pull the damn trigger, yes we go for it.

Drew Brees is already 34 so I think we should ask ourselves, realistically, how big our window is and if Jarvis Jones only has 4 or 5 good years in him, does that maximize our chances of winning it all?

I think our window is 4 or 5 years MAX, and Jones gives us a great chance to get back to the Super Bowl over that time.

Took the words out of my mouth. Our current team doesn't have much time left to make a real run at the Super Bowl so if we can add a player that can make an instant impact... why not?! We're gonna have to do some major rebuilding in a few years anyway so let's go win it all now!

Man, eight ifs (nine if you count -ahh ten... +3) already in this short little thread. Spinal surgery is the least certain of all except maybe brain stuff and that's for civilians. Add in massive contact at the pro level? Him not doing any worse than most of our first rounders even from a hospital bed doesn't really do me. That dude should go on into the doctor, lawyer, teacher thing. I really don't want to see him being carted off the field in black and gold after a forty minute game time delay.

are you kidding me???

would you take him...

You would be crazy not to take this guy. We have to hope that there are enough GMs to shy away from him. He should be a top5 pick, and there is no way he makes it out of the top 10.

I can't recall.

Where did anyone get spinal surgery?? Spinal Stenosis is a fancy medical term for Arthritis in the back. I know this because I have it along with a long list of other back issues. There is no surgical fix for this.

We would be crazy not to snatch this guy up. Will he play 10 yrs in the NFL, probably not. His back condition will get worse as he gets older. But for right now, he'd be a steal at 15!

Wrong Georgia Linebacker - Ogletree is the man...

Re: Jarvis Jones at 15??

So what are the odds of both Ogletree and Jones being around at 15?
